Diplomat Link

Diplomats play a crucial role in our community, acting as an extension of the Chamber staff. Their primary objective is to provide outreach and assistance to our Partner businesses year-round. They offer support and open lines of communication, ensuring that our Partners can make the most of their Chamber Partnership.

Diplomats engage with Partner businesses through various means, including in-person visits, phone calls, and emails. They are generous with their time and may drop by your business for a brief meeting or contact you to understand your communication preferences. Taking a few minutes to listen to their insights and guidance will prove to be beneficial for your business.

Importantly, Diplomats are not here to ask for contributions or sponsorships. Their sole focus is on providing you with the information and resources necessary to maximize the benefits of your Chamber Partnership and support your business growth.

Beyond their outreach role, Diplomats actively contribute to the Chamber's success by volunteering and participating in the Chamber's program of work. Their in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Chamber products and services make them invaluable assets to our business Partners. Their dedication ensures that our Partners receive the best possible support and engagement within our community.

How Diplomats Benefit Partners

  • Collect information on any adverse business issues at the local and regional level, which may be affecting your ability to succeed and thrive.
  • Gage your satisfaction with your Partnership and Partnership preferences.
  • Determine your communication and involvement preferences.
  • Assist Partners with an interest in becoming more active and getting involved; even joining them at programs and events to make introductions.
  • Update Partnership records and add additional Partner responsibilities to insider communications.

How to Become a Diplomat

To qualify for consideration, your company must be a Partner of the Chamber. The ideal candidate for Diplomats are:

  • Owners/managers interested in business development
  • Community relations directors/managers
  • Marketing, business development, or account executives

To thrive as a successful Diplomat, a positive attitude, a professional appearance, strong communication skills, and impeccable interpersonal abilities are essential attributes. These qualities play a significant role in building effective relationships and achieving success in their diplomatic endeavors.
