EdVenture Children’s Museum opened it’s doors in 2003 and is a premier destination for children and their families to explore, play, and learn together.
Our flagship location in Columbia, South Carolina, welcomes nearly 200,000 visitors a year and features over 60,000 square ft. of exhibit space including the iconic “Eddie” who has become a renowned attraction. Other topics include STEM, health, the environment, early career exploration, biology, and nutrition. A second location in Myrtle Beach opened in 2019 in the Market Common and welcomes an additional 50,000 visitors per year. Our combined attendance represents visitors from every South Carolina county and all 50 states.
EdVenture is also an important resource for schools. Each year around 15,000 students visit on field trips from schools all over South Carolina. We ensure that all the content in the museum is closely tied to school learning standards, so students’ textbooks come to life right in front of them. During field trips we also provide lab programs that delve into a variety of topics that teachers can choose from.
Our Yes Every Child, Yes Every Family, and Yes Every Student programs all offer accommodating admissions to anyone regardless of socioeconomic conditions.
