The Columbia Chamber is proud to name Experience Columbia, SC as May's Partner of the Month. Experience Columbia is a stellar example of promoting economic development in Columbia through tourism and providing the best visitor experience possible. They are truly the one-stop-shop for all things to do and see in the Columbia area.

Experience Columbia's roots run deep with the Chamber as they have been an active Partner since joining in 2001. Their team consistently sponsors and attends Chamber events. In fact, the Chamber has used the space at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center for the Annual Gala since it opened in 2004. Experience Columbia also has numerous Leadership Columbia alumni on their team and continually participate in LCAA events.

More recently, Experience Columbia provided their suite at Segra Park for a Chamber Power Partner event. Experience Columbia also placed an ad promoting Columbia in the program that will be given out at the National Defense Communities Summit Conference in Washington, DC. (Note: the greater Columbia Region was named as a Great American Defense Community this year and will receive the award at the ADC Conference in June.)

The Chamber applauds Experience Columbia for their work hosting the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. They provided excellent marketing materials for the local businesses to share with visitors, created an event schedule for locals and out of towners to enjoy, and provided staff and volunteers to help answer questions and guide people through the city. The tournament was a success for Columbia and its businesses, and demonstrates that Columbia can host large scale tournaments.

Experience Columbia is an essential part of the Columbia business community. They go above and beyond with crafting and sharing Columbia's story with the rest of the country in a unique way that features our best qualities and attracts visitors to our great city.
